During last fall semester, undergraduate chapter brothers welcomed Dr. Stephen Large as OH Eta’s new chapter counselor. Steve joined Miami in 2018 as Assistant Vice President of Health and Wellness for Student Life. In this role, he’s responsible for oversight and direction of Miami’s student health services, student wellness and counseling services.
Steve is a Cincinnati native and attended St. Xavier High School, subsequently earning his undergraduate degree from John Carroll University, where he was a brother in Sigma Phi Epsilon – OH Upsilon. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Wright State University and worked at University of Dayton and Gannon University prior to landing in Oxford.
Steve hopes his time at Miami will be long-lasting, citing his work with bright, passionate and engaged students as well as the history, aesthetics and reputation of Miami as unmatched elsewhere. As SigEp’s chapter counselor, Steve has regular presence with the chapter and executive board and is familiar with the needs of today’s undergraduates to provide objective advice, support and continuity ensuring long-term chapter success.
“I am grateful and absolutely thrilled to serve as OH Eta’s chapter counselor,” Steve said. “I’m impressed with the brothers I have met so far and have no doubt the road ahead for OH Eta is positive and purposeful. I look forward to connecting with OH Eta alumni in the months ahead and welcome any and all feedback alumni want to share.”
We’re excited to welcome Steve to OH Eta and thank him for his dedication and support to the brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon!
